 Friday 17th – Sunday 19th March

 Led by Fr. Elias Polonski

Elias Polonski is a retired Anglican priest living in Malmesbury, but has in the past been a Benedictine monk at Douai Abbey in Berkshire. He is American and  the son of a Polish father and Italian mother.

He now lives a simple  life without car, computer or mobile phone!  He draws on the spirituality of a wide range of Christian traditions as well as other faiths and is passionate about “Creation Theology”, seeking God in all created things, not exclusively as revealed in the doctrine of the church.

On our retreat, Elias wants to reflect on “the joy of being” and he will offer reflections and meditations  to help us in that adventure.

Booking forms for the retreat are available at the back of church, or if you would like further information, do speak to Rod (01249 652788)

St Andrew’s Lent Course 2017
“Rev.” – Good News in a World of Struggle
In the BBC’s brilliant comedy “Rev.” we get alongside Rev Alan Smallbone and Alex, his wife, in their inner-city parish, and begin by wondering why on earth such a nice, well-meaning couple would put up with such an awful and unrewarding job. Surely stacking shelves in Tesco would be a better option! But gradually we see how their commitment to faith, hope and love can create moments of transforming joy in the midst of misery, and we start to recognise that there’s more to this Christianity business than leaky build-ings and difficult parishioners! Our Lent course this year will be based on 5 excepts from the series, ending with the powerful depiction of Good Friday in the last episode.

Your CHOIR needs more singers in all 4 parts: If interested please see Paul Fortune Tel: 652643 email: paul@pfortune.fsnet.co.uk: Friday practice 7.15 pm for one hour.

Andy’s Tots – every Tuesday at 1.30pm in Church

What is “Andy’s Tots” all about? It’s a mixture of songs, craft, stories and games for children aged 0 to 4 years. We begin in church sitting in a circle and singing a few songs – favourites  include “Mister Cow” and “Have You Seen the Pussycat?” – and then a simple story followed by making something (it might be a Mother’s Day card or a decoration!). Then we might have a march – and have a turn at ringing the church bell. Then it’s drink and a biscuit, after which, we get the ride-ons and toys out for the last 10 minutes or so.

Why?  Well, we’re not trying to recruit anyone for church! We simply want to give an opportunity to parents who feel that knowing God loves us is an important part of their children’s learning,  to explore that together in a fun way!

One of the mums says, “My daughter is 2 and she loves Andy’s Tots. She’s always excited about going and she sings the action songs all week long!”

There is no charge, but a contribution of £1 is helpful if you are able. You can park in the front of church whilst you’re at Andy’s.

Come along and join us – you’ll enjoy it too, we’re sure!
